What is IMMEX? (Manufacturing Industry, Maquiladora and Export Service)
It is a program implemented by the Ministry of Economy to strengthen the competitiveness of the export sector. Applied to manufacturing industries that carry out various processes, such as elaboration, repair or transformation of goods. IMMEX has become a valuable instrument to facilitate and promote foreign investment in Mexico, since in addition to reducing the costs associated with foreign trade operations, it facilitates the adoption of new ways of doing and operating business.

This program benefits mainly two instances:
The foreign company that sends goods to Mexico to be manufactured, repaired or transformed.
The one that receives them in Mexico for said processes for a determined period of time of stay and later to be exported.
There are certain temporary requirements regarding the stay of merchandise or goods that are
imported under the program. The main requirement is to be in Mexican territory temporarily, that is, once the manufacturing process is finished, they must be returned.
